What is ECCO?

Started by George W Hewlett High School student, Ilan Goldberg, the Environment and Climate Change Organization is a student lead group that strives to educate youth on the topics of Climate Change and Pollution. ECCO was founded due to the curiosity and perpetual observation of pollutants in the Hewlett-Woodmere district. With an association of well informed, experienced, and fervent students, ECCO hopes to spread awareness on the causes and effects of climate change and pollution, methods that could be used to offset environmental damages created by the human footprint, and how climate change and pollution relates to current events around the world. The Organization is ever-growing in size and always adapting to changes in society to teach the most current and relevent information the public has access to!
